This policy covers Aksh and get-aksh.com, operated by Pushpankar, trading as Aksh Software, a sole proprietorship in India. Contact: hey@get-aksh.com.

Your documents

Aksh stores your notes, documents, images, and settings on your device. We do not receive your document contents through normal use of the app. Aksh does not upload documents for cloud synchronisation or automatically send usage analytics or crash reports.

If you send us a document or log for support, we receive that information as described below. Any backup or synchronisation service you configure yourself operates separately from Aksh Software.

Update checks

Aksh checks for available updates when opened and when you request a check. It retrieves the latest build information without uploading your documents.

The update service and its hosting providers receive the connection information needed to handle the request, including your IP address, requested URL, time, and client headers. This information may be recorded in operational or security logs to deliver updates, investigate faults, and prevent abuse.

Purchases and licensing

Polar provides checkout and licence services. When you purchase Plus, Polar collects the billing and payment information needed to complete the transaction. We receive the customer, order, payment-status, and licence records Polar makes available to us, such as your name, email address, order reference, and billing details.

Payment-card details are handled by Polar and its payment providers. They are not entered into Aksh or stored in its local database.

Activating or deactivating a licence sends your licence key and the information needed to identify the product and activation to Polar. Aksh stores the key and activation record locally. Polar also receives connection information such as your IP address. These requests do not include your documents.

We use purchase and licence records to provide your licence, help with activation, handle refunds, and maintain transaction records. Polar's own processing is described in its Privacy Policy.

Website visitors

Cloudflare hosts and delivers get-aksh.com. It processes request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, and browser headers to serve the website and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

We do not currently use visitor-analytics scripts or advertising trackers on the landing page. Hosting and security services may still process connection data or use necessary cookies. Polar's checkout has its own cookie and privacy practices.

Support

When you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to attach. We use this information to respond and investigate the issue. Please remove private or sensitive material from files and logs before sending them.

GitHub issues are public. Use hey@get-aksh.com for private support and privacy requests.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed with providers supporting purchases, licensing, hosting, and email, or where required by law or necessary to address fraud or legal claims.

We retain purchase and licence records for ongoing licence support and applicable accounting, tax, or legal obligations. Support messages and attachments are retained for as long as needed to resolve the issue or meet a legal obligation. Providers may retain records they control under their own policies.

Information may be processed in India and in countries where our providers operate. We take reasonable measures to protect information under our control and comply with applicable requirements for its handling and transfer. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Email hey@get-aksh.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a complaint. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained by law; we will explain any such restriction.

Local documents and settings remain under your control. We cannot delete copies stored only on your device or in backups you manage.

We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has provided it to us, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Your rights and available remedies under applicable law are not limited by this policy. Material changes to our practices will be reflected here, with additional notice or consent where required.
